Participants under the Sabah MM2H programme are allowed to stay in any other states in Malaysia except for Sarawak. Income earned is subject to tax, the rate ranges from 0 – 26% depending on the tax status of the MM2H participants during the calendar year. The working hours of the part-time job is maximum 20 hours per week. The part-time positions can be as lecturer or working in any local Malaysian companies. Qualified MM2H participants aged 50 and above are allowed to take up part-time positions to earn income in Malaysia. However, MM2H participants can conduct business and investment activities in Malaysia subject to the rules and regulations of Malaysia.
